so i could grasp their true intentions and expose them with precision
now my vision is to get you to fight for a better living

Now the nemesis of those with ambitions to become magnificent
has whispered to the spirits of Man since the days of Genesis
he slithers in, stalking his victims, exploiting their ignorance
and then he spreads his venom, delivering doubt and insolence
their innocence is tainted, he's blatantly gone and twisted it
devoured their peaceful nature, replaced it with the ways of the hypocrite
the lamb is now corrupted, it's purpose is now destructive
such a shame how something so lovely's been reduced to something disgusting
it's reminding me of the dove, that was born to soar above the clouds
and out of jealousy, the other animals plotted to bring her down
and so they broke her wings, forcing the dove to crawl on the ground alone
enduring a life she shouldn't have to endure, and live in a world where she doesn't belong
she struggled through the years, the others laughed as she stumbled by
she was always gazing at the sky, remembering her former life
her wings had long since healed, but she never realized
the only thing that held her down was the fact that she never tried to fly

I know the plight of the teacher, the leader, and the preacher
looking at their people, trying to figure out how to reach them
knowing that evil is lurking, so I'm speaking
to the believers, warning you of the Great Deceiver
he's your enemy, don't fall for his lies
you don't have to sell your soul for anything cuz all it buys
is the life of the world, but the cost is when you die
you've sacrificed your chance at Heaven, and that's never worth the price
stay true to yourself and stand proudly in the Light and
purge your grudges, your hatreds, insecurities and vices
give to charity, cherish life and love all humanity
help your family, and maybe then you can stand with me
society leaves the good to fend for themselves
so the snakes can gather around, trying to tempt you with their wealth
but if the righteous stick together we can build a better living
